Residential Care Homes 'Art for Fun'  

 I have been running 'Painting for Fun' sessions for residents at:
Southlands Bupa, Harrogate 
The Crest Bupa Dementia Home, Harrogate
The Adelphi, Harrogate 
MHA Berwick Grange, Harrogate
Abbeydale Care Home, Ilkley
The Gate House, Harrogate 
Arthington Court, Harrogate
 
The sessions encourage residents to paint very colourful fun subjects which encourage conversation and evoke memories. We embark on group projects to hang in communal areas, creating paintings that the residents can be proud to show to their friends and relatives.

I am aware that every resident has different abilities, including many with varying stages of dementia, therefore I tailor my classes to be as flexible and enjoyable as possible. I find that my teaching style promotes a calm, focused atmosphere that the residents enjoy. I am proud to say that my oldest student is 105. 
 Drop-in classes £7.50 per person or 
 I charge £60 per session (maximum of 12 residents)
This will include all materials. I will also provide a poster for each home allowing activities organisers to advertise and promote the classes within their care home.
